Gas Storage - Injection
Gas storage injection applications use compressors for injecting natural gas (coming from various sources for storing underground) in depleted gas or oil reservoirs, salt cavities, and mined underground caverns. Stored natural gas plays an important role in helping to meet higher demand for gas during winter months and provides a relatively stable market for any excess gas that is stored during the summer months. Gas storage allows companies in the industry to store excess gas when prices are low, then withdrawl and sell when prices and gas are in higher demand.
