Air/Nitrogen Injection

An Air/Nitrogen Injection application uses compressors for injection of air or nitrogen for under-balanced drilling of oil and gas wells. Under-balanced drilling is defined as the practice of drilling a oil or gas well with the well bore fluid gradient less than the natural formation gradient. The bottom hole circulation pressure, which is exerted by the injected gas is lower than the formation pressure, thereby permitting the well to flow while drilling. Under-balanced drilling technology has saved the industry millions of dollars by increasing the amount of recoverable oil and gas within a shorter period of time.
